About this role
BlackRock Institutional Trust Company, N.A. seeks Associate, Quantitative Researcher in San Francisco, CA to generate alpha, the active return on an investment, through systematic strategy development and deployment across agency MBS, interest rates, and volatility. Req’s: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Financial Engineering, Economics, Statistics or a related field and one (1) year of experience in job offered or related occupation: working with investment products including agency mortgages, interest rates, and volatility; monitoring risk; designing quantitative investment strategies including building statistical models to verify investment insights using historical data; working with financial datasets and databases; developing statistical and empirical models using advanced regression and forecasting techniques; and utilizing statistical software packages including Matlab, Python or R.
