The mission of the Global Client Business (GCB) is to build deeper relationships and partnerships with our clients, centered on their investment and commercial needs. In this role, you would be an integral part of the GCB Strategy team, contributing to GCB’s highest and most dynamic priorities. This role requires the ability to work in agile, cross-functional teams tasked with solving business problems in partnership with senior leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Work with leadership to set GCB’s strategy and priorities to drive revenue growth

  • Partner with client businesses to identify and execute on specific strategic initiatives, often across regions, client segments, and product types

  • Contribute to and lead end-to-end strategy projects, including:

  • Creating and managing against a project plan (e.g., identifying key questions, defining the approach and required analysis)

  • Gathering and synthesizing information across sources (e.g., external research, internal research and interviews)

  • Synthesizing findings and engaging senior leaders in problem solving

  • Creating and presenting impactful presentations on project progress, findings, and implementation plans to senior leaders

  • Bring the voice of the client into GCB by (1) gathering intelligence from sales teams and clients; (2) synthesizing findings; and (3) sharing our go-forward approach with leaders

  • Evaluate inorganic opportunities globally including acquisitions, investments, partnerships, and joint ventures

  • Build a network across GCB strategy teams, actively seeking opportunities to develop team members, share best practices, and leverage one other

  • Support ad hoc requests, analyses, and presentations for GCB leadership

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of strategy experience at an asset manager, investment bank, consulting firm, private equity firm, or complex multinational corporation

  • Asset management industry knowledge is preferred

  • Experience working with and influencing senior management, building relationships, translating complex views and opinions into tangible deliverables, and leading/directing project teams

  • Proven problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical skills

  • Ability to synthesize data into high-quality presentations and written communications

  • Student of the markets with high levels of motivation and inquisitiveness

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills with ability to quickly produce management-level quality presentations and robust Excel models

For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $137,500 - $194,000. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.

Our hybrid work model
