About the Team:

Regulatory Operations is a function who design, implement & lead on all aspects of BlackRock’s regulatory processes. We continually monitor, review, and provide assurances that our regulatory obligations are fulfilled. Our team continues to grow with the complexity of regulations increasing each year, and we are at the next phase of our growth plan and building our presence in Mumbai. This is an exciting time with implementation of new regulations and the opportunities to drive our business forward. We are developing systems and reporting capabilities alongside managing risk and working with key partners across the business to drive implementations. The successful candidate will play a meaningful role in that evolution.

Role Description

Join us and play a significant role in shaping the future of our business. Our team works closely with senior leaders, subject matter experts and business collaborators to build transparency into regulatory compliance and define and prioritize risk mitigating solutions. The individual will ideally have experience supporting/implementing operational risk management-related processes, driving high-profile projects and will be comfortable providing insight to support the development of operational procedures and implementation of revised frameworks to ensure ongoing compliance with regulations.

Your responsibilities

  • Lead the India Regulatory Operations team performing control oversight and compliance.

  • Develop expertise on global regimes and jurisdictions and stay up to date on regulatory changes that may impact the team.

  • Partner and drive the evolution of Regulatory Operations

  • Drive active engagement with stakeholders across the business to drive partnership and collaboration.

  • Recruit, mentor and develop a team encouraging a culture of excellence, collaboration, and improvement.

Knowledge/Experience

  • Leadership experience, preferably in an operational role in a high-paced multinational environment

  • Results-driven individual with strong problem-solving skills, analytical mind set and attention to detail.

  • Enjoys fast paced, focused and sophisticated environments, troubleshooting time critical issues.

  • Exhibits strong planning and organizational skills.

  • Ability to clearly communicate objectives and articulate the rationale behind those goals.

  • Ability to facilitate compromise between conflicting requirements or points of view.

  • Self-motivated: able to show initiative and come up with ideas without prompting

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey sophisticated concepts simply and clearly.

Our hybrid work model
