About this role

Position Description:

This position will work closely with senior deal team members to underwrite and monitor a variety of middle market corporate loans. Credit strategies relating to this role include private direct lending and syndicated loans across multiple industries.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct due diligence on prospective investments including research and prepare analyses of companies, industries, financial analysis and legal document review;

  • Prepare and maintain financial models, company valuation analysis, debt capacity and risk assessment monitoring, as well as various internal and external materials;

  • Monitor and manage existing investment portfolio companies, which will include collecting and reviewing financial information, tracking industry trend, and preparing ongoing materials for internal and external purposes; and

  • Manage due diligence and credit relationships at appropriate levels

Requirements:

  • 2 years of corporate credit underwriting experience in major commercial banks or fixed income / credit managers; or transaction experience in middle market investment banks or financial advisory firms.

  • Ability to perform superior financial analysis of companies and impact of financing, transaction and operational variables with solid financial modeling skills and flawless attention to details

  • Must have solid communication and superior writing skills to articulate complex issues in a straightforward and digestible manner to internal and external audience

  • Basic understanding of various credit instruments and provisions in credit documentation is required

  • Experience working with complex capital structures is highly preferred

  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, active investing environment with a proven commitment to high quality work

  • Self-starter with a high level of integrity and strong teamwork orientation
