BlackRock Director - Aladdin Wealth Technology – Senior Relationship Manager in London, United Kingdom

The Aladdin Wealth Enterprise team leverages the same risk analytics used by Institutional investors to equip wealth management clients with business & risk management, and portfolio construction & analytics capabilities. Aladdin Wealth Enterprise is partnering with wealth managers to enhance their value proposition to their end clients, create rigor and scale in their investment process, and grow their businesses in a differentiated way.

Position Description:

The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Relationship Management team and assume a Senior Client Relationship Manager position, servicing our clients across a range of activities including overseeing all aspects of client relationships including governance, service, and product delivery and evolution. The role also requires strong project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills. The candidate must build a strong understanding of the client’s entire organization and be imbedded into the client’s key Decision Makers and Business leaders to drive adoption and growth. As a Senior Relationship Manager, you will also be expected to drive opportunities to expand existing relationships, build loyalty, promote retention, and harvest additional assets. The role will evolve over time as the business develops and will be an exciting opportunity for someone who works well in fast moving organizations. The role is based in London but may involve occasional travel.

Key Responsibilities:

· Executive engagement and account planning. Be a trusted partner of the C-suite/Senior Leadership (e.g., Head of Wealth Management Chief Investment Officer, Chief Operating Officer).

· Provide senior oversight to more junior relationship managers and help manage the team in London

· Engage the client's key stakeholders and provide strong leadership for the Aladdin Wealth relationship and broader BlackRock relationship.

· Understand client objectives, business model, workflows, and market events to effectively drive strategic discussions.

· Create and drive client commercial strategy, across both harvesting and retention. Partner with Aladdin Wealth Business Development to expand our business.

· Strategic/consultative engagement on regulatory requirements, workflow, systems best practice, or peer setup.

· Drive product adoption. Ensure clients are taking full advantage of Aladdin Wealth’s capabilities.

· Develop strong relationships with all groups within Aladdin and across BlackRock to ensure an excellent client experience and convey client requirements to product teams as necessary Have a strategic view on the Aladdin Wealth product.

· Engage with clients/partner teams on enhancements to the Aladdin Wealth Platform.

· Drive client-initiated or Aladdin Wealth specific strategic projects.

· Strong understanding of the wealth management industry, key trends, and BlackRock’s potential role in influencing that direction.

Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess some combination of all the following:

· Fluent in English and ideally in another European Language

· At least 10 years of relevant experience and knowledge in financial technology and wealth management

· Demonstrated experience managing large complex enterprise relationships

· Uncovers and meets the need of external clients; builds strong working partnerships with clients and internal organization; acts with urgency and works hard to address client demands; effectively manages clients’ expectations and delivers value-added service

· Understands business, financial and technical terminology, including how organizations operate, compete, profit and grow. Keeps abreast of developments in own field and considers how this knowledge can be applied

· Demonstrated experience successfully leading strategic initiatives within a global organization

· Leads individuals and team to achieve objectives and drive results; inspires and motivates people to the highest levels of performance. Is accessible, engaged and a positive force for change. Provides timely and actionable feedback

· Committed to gaining relevant knowledge, skills and experience in commercial markets; utilizes market expertise and savvy to leverage this role; stays passionate about the business and maintains current knowledge about competitor products and services

· Strong project management and coordination skills

· Strong problem solving/analytical thinking

· Superior communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts simply and clearly to clients. Capable of connecting with multiple audiences and articulating lines of reasoning

· Technologically “aware” to be conversant with clients and visualize opportunities. Technology knowledge is important, but a deep skillset is not necessary.

· Ability to operate as a self-starter, operating with limited guidance in a highly matrixed organization

· Enjoys a fast-paced, high-intensity environment; able to manage multiple priorities

· CFA/FRM designation or progressing towards CFA/FRM designation is a plu

Our hybrid work model
