Introduction

Led by our CMO, BlackRock is changing the way the financial services sector talks to its audiences. To help do this, we’ve developed a dynamic, innovative and collegiate in-house creative team, in need of a similarly zestful resource co-ordinator.

We create category-busting, purpose-based marketing communications and design work and are helping redefine what marketing in the financial sector can be.

The role

  • Oversee and drive workflow management and efficient resource allocation for 25+ designers, leading globally across three continents.

  • Understand the scope and nature of a broad range of creative requests from a variety of internal business partners.

  • Recognise where each request sits within business priorities, filtering those not within the scope of the team.

  • Be familiar with the skillsets and strengths of each designer.

  • Assemble the above information into an effective, efficient and flexible workflow process that effortlessly supports our delivery of dial-moving creative work.

  • Build and cultivate relationships with key business partners, interpreting their future needs to facilitate effective forward planning and pipeline management.

  • Work umbilically closely with team project managers to support optimal delivery of projects, and designers to ensure the right people are paired with the right projects.

  • Keep the team informed about current and future trends regarding workflow, pipeline of work, and resource capacity.

  • Own use of our internal workflow management software and internal/vendor relationships stemming from it; identify and promote more efficient ways of working with it.

You need to have

  • 5-10 years’ experience managing complex workflows in a creative/digital/design/marketing agency or inhouse studio. Experience running global workflow across multiple time-zones is a distinct advantage.

  • A clear appreciation and understanding of the subtleties of balancing the often-conflicting needs of creative excellence and business-driven deadlines.

  • Natural organizational ability, assiduous attention to detail and good decision-making judgement are core requirements

  • Familiarity with ‘Workfront’ software an advantage but not pre-requisite.

  • Understanding of financial services an advantage but not pre-requisite.
