Job Description:

Business Unit Overview

The Global Fixed Income group at BlackRock manages more than $1.4 trillion in fixed income assets across index, active, and liability driven strategies. The platform offers fixed income investors one of the industry’s broadest array of investment choices across index, model-based and fundamental investment styles.

Job Purpose/Background:

To provide extensive administrative support for the Systematic Fixed Income Team within Global Fixed Income.

Key Responsibilities:

Efficient diary management

Understand the team’s priorities to aid their working day and provide and collate relevant agendas, minutes, papers and ensure they are in possession of correct paperwork for all meetings and conferences etc.

Develop and maintain excellent relationships with senior clients, business leads, and their support teams in order to ensure positive working interactions at all times and the achievement of goals.

Exercise initiative and judgment to be able to progress matters with minimum guidance to a successful conclusion.

Co-ordinate extensive travel arrangements and arrange itineraries.

Act as point of contact for a wide range of visitors, conveying a professional image at all times.

Monitor phone calls taking necessary action either personally or diverting to other areas.

Work closely within administration ‘buddy group’ to ensure seamless cover during times of absence.

Organising internal and external meetings.

Liaising with facilities, post room, print room and other areas of the business.

Use of internal/external systems (training will be provided)

Ad-hoc project work

Knowledge/Experience:

Demonstrable PA and team support experience gained in a multinational organisation.

Experience in arranging meetings, coordinating diaries and updating PowerPoint presentations

Ability to work independently and calmly in a multi-task fast-paced environment whilst being self-motivated and flexible

Proactive, mature and professional approach

Team-player with a can-do approach

Ability to deal calmly and diplomatically with variety of clients and senior personnel

Ability to represent the division and BlackRock to the highest standard following the principles of partnership, integrity and excellence

Skills/Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Outlook

Exceptional written and oral communication skills.

Strong Administrative skills

Comfortable dealing with individuals of all levels of seniority

Competencies:

Excellent organisational Skills

Strong communication Skills

High integrity, possessing personal resilience.

Strong team player.

Will act with discretion, diplomacy and demonstrate high levels of confidentiality at all times.
