Technology & Operations(T&O) is responsible for the firm’s worldwide operations across all asset classes and geographies. The operational functions are aligned with clients, products, fund structures and our third party provider networks. Global Investment Operations(GIO),function within T&O, is responsible for the development of the firm’s operating infrastructure to support BlackRock’s investment businesses worldwide. GIO spans Trading & Market Documentation, Transaction Management, Collateral Management & Payments, Asset Servicing including Corporate Actions and Cash & Asset Operations, and Securities Lending Operations. GIO provides operational service to BlackRock’s Portfolio Managers and Traders globally to ensure we provide better service to our end clients
Transaction Management Team is responsible for the affirmation, confirmation and settlement of transactions with counterparties and custodians. General functions include the research and resolution of exceptions and DK’s, communication of trade details and allocations to counterparties, custodians and fund accountants, and processing of TBA allocations. Day to day management of broker/dealer and custody relationships is a key focus as well as fostering globally consistent trade confirmation and processing, enhancing operational control and reporting, eliminating risk and servicing internal and external constituents to re-affirm expectations and deliver superior client service.
Managing a Data team responsible for using Transaction Data to drive decisions. Responsibility include (but not limited to):
Executing Data-driven Strategy Management by working with Senior Management in prioritizing key data projects and processes
Ensuring any regular(daily/weekly/monthly/Quarterly or other) process get set-up and automated by the team as NITE jobs to make process efficient.
Regular Stakeholder management ensuring transparency between team and partners
Experience coordinating & managing expectations with Business Users and tracking any business requests and prioritizing them with partners
Ability to do hands-on in the process in case team gets stuck or bring to bear relationship with stakeholders to find solutions to any roadblocks.
Work with colleagues to prioritize business and information requirements
Identify any Scale & Efficiency opportunities & improve it further using data (or another automation) tools.
Connecting with team, taking 1:1s, identify people issues and working with management to get them resolved.
Subject Matter Expert in handling large volume of data (specially financial transaction data)
10 – 12 years Experience managing data delivery teams ensuring deliverables are completed on timely basis
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Strong knowledge and Experience working Database, SQL, Business Intelligence Tools (Tableau, Alteryx etc.)
Prior Experience working on Source Code version Management tools like GITHub etc.
Knowledge and Experience of working in Data Science/Machine Learning tools like Python, R etc.
Experience in Stakeholder management
Team Management Experience
Team player with attention to details, problem solving abilities, and analytical skills
Ability to multi task
The ability to perform effectively in an environment of rapid and continual change
