We are seeking an adventurous individual to join the SL Engineering Team within Global Securities Lending; one of the world’s top Lending Agents.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business partners and other software engineers to design and implement our next-generation high velocity, scalable trading, electronic trading and analytics platforms.

• Coordinate with other team members in a multi-office, multi-country environment – Budapest, London New York, San Francisco and Hong Kong

• Enhance, debug, support, maintain and test software applications that support the business

• Participate in the design, development, and implementation of complex applications, often using new technologies

• Participate in team’s Agile Iteration/ Scrum Sprint process

• Mentoring team members to build strengths in architecture, standards development and recommended practices

Skills and Experience

• Strong programming skills with 4+ years of experience in Java , Spring Boot

• Experience on Web service and API protocols (REST)

• Working knowledge of SQL

• Commitment to write high-quality code

• Ability to read, write and communicate in English

• Experience with Agile development methodology

• Familiar with continuous integration and continuous delivery automation for containerized services

• Strong interest in learning finance

Nice to have and opportunities to learn

• Bachelors or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related discipline

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure solutions

• Experience in k8s, Azure, Microservices, Spring Cloud

• Understanding of Microservices design patterns

• Experience in Redis, Kafka, OAuth2, NoSQL (Cassandra), Snowflake

• Working financial knowledge and/or previous experience in a financial company

Our hybrid work model

BlackRock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all. Employees are currently required to work at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week. Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities.
