About this role

Blackrock Alterinative Investors

BlackRock Alternative Investors (BAI) is charged with establishing BlackRock as the preeminent provider of alternative investment products globally. BlackRock has approximately $100 Billion in Alternative assets including real assets, hedge funds, fund of funds and other hybrid strategies. This unified global operating platform combines expertise, resources, and capabilities across asset classes and it leverages resources within Blackrock’s broad real assets and global investment team. The BAI platform includes investment teams located in London, Dublin, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Princeton, Durham, Hong Kong and Boston.

Client Services

We are building a Client Services team in Budapest for our rapidly growing alternative investments platform that will serve as the hub to support the coordination and administration of the investor communication programme to ensure that clients receive a first class level of service. This team will be responsible for a wide range of client services activities, including maintaining platform data and analytics, production of client & fund reports, and marketing collateral and presentations. We are seeking a high-energy, self-motivated individual to lead the newly formed team. This individual must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, responsible for managing multiple projects and tasks concurrently.

ROLE PROFILE

Team oversight

  • Responsible for ensuring objectives of the team are executed in a timely manner

  • Management oversight for a team of three

Platform data

  • Develop and roll out a data collection tool for central storage of reporting data

  • Analysis and preparation of platform level data, including AUM, headcount, investor commitments and capital activity for fundraising initiatives and internal requests where required, across BAI businesses

Client reporting

  • Co-ordination of the production of formal quarterly reporting package by gathering portfolio-level and market updates from portfolio managers, asset managers and fund administration teams across a variety of BAI businesses

  • Co-ordination of quarterly investor templates – review and distribution;

  • Assist with redesign of reports produced across BAI

Fundraising support

  • Completion of industry surveys and consultant questionnaires;

  • Update DDQs and RFIs with platform level data including headcount, AUM, investor commitments and capital activity

  • Maintain and update product pitchbooks and other standard marketing collateral with platform level data

  • Submit materials through the central compliance system, and address follow-ups

  • Quarterly update of performance and track record information for all real assets funds;

Operations

  • Support and investigate technology and process options to scale and automate routine client service activities

Key Responsibilities:

  • BA/BS required

  • Degree in quantitative, finance, economics or information systems discipline preferable

  • Fluency in written and spoken English is essential

  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively at all levels;

  • Meticulous attention to detail;

  • High proficiency in Excel, with ability to manipulate data in a spreadsheet

  • Proficiency in Word and PowerPoint, with ability to create marketing slides

  • Analytical ability to synthesize information and summarize issues

  • Desire to learn Investment Management industry

  • 3+ year of experience, in financial services preferred
