About this role:

The Alternatives Client Engagement (ACE) group manages the partnerships formed with each BlackRock Solutions client and is the trusted advisor, problem solver and business partner to eFront clients. They are the key point of contact and are charged with driving, deepening and growing the relationship over time through product, and industry knowledge. The Client Manager is highly focused on understanding the needs and evolving priorities of client organizations to optimize the value we can bring to our clients by leveraging the capabilities of the entire BlackRock Solutions organization.

As a member of one of BlackRock’s fastest growing areas you will have the commercial and client-facing skillset to work on the complete investment lifecycle, leveraging cutting edge technology to help some of the largest institutions and investors in the world.

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to our clients, driving to identify, understand, and solve complex problems

  • Own relationships with client teams including senior management to understand their business objectives and needs.

  • Build strong internal relationships within the Aladdin Business, and across BlackRock, in support of your clients

  • Provide impactful solutions, combining investment lifecycle expertise with your knowledge of private markets and our product suite

  • Work closely with Aladdin product managers and developers to further the value proposition of the eFront platform

You have:

  • Ability to build relationships across a broad range of backgrounds from IT, operations, investment teams to C-suite

  • Experience with private market workflows and familiarity with asset managers and asset owners’ styles, tools and processes

  • A working knowledge of data, analytics and client reporting processes acquired either through direct experience or in a consulting capacity

  • Strong interest in technology and an aptitude for learning new systems

  • A consultative approach to understanding client needs and a passion for solving problems

  • A self-starter mindset and drive to succeed in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment, working as part of a multi-disciplinary global team

  • Emotional ownership, pride in what you do and a strong team ethos

  • 2-6 years of experience in Financial Services, Technology, Consulting or private markets firm

You may have:

  • Business level French language skills

  • Understanding of data interfacing, e.g., APIs, SFTPs

  • A working knowledge of eFront or other private market technology solutions

  • CFA, CAIA or other professional qualifications

Who are our clients?

Private markets investors, across the Asset Manager, Asset Owner and Asset Servicer segments.

The eFront platform provides and end to end solution for professionals across the entire investment lifecycle. Within the ACE team, our focus is to ensure excellent client experience and drive value through our technology for the firms we partner with. This can mean engaging on a broad range of functional areas such as due diligence, underwriting, portfolio management, risk, accounting, and performance reporting. Our commitment to delivering excellence extends beyond software and we take pride in offering a differentiated service.

For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $189,000. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.

Our hybrid work model

BlackRock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all. Employees are currently required to work at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week. Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities.
